Dr. Steven Bretow D.C.

Dr. Steve graduated from Drew University in 1975. He graduated magna cum laude from Life Chiropractic College West in May 1988. He is the cofounder of Westside Family Chiropractic in 1993. He is Activator Proficient, B.E.S.T. certified in 1995, Impulse Proficient in 2010. He has been a Berkeley Chiropractor for over 25 years.

Dr. Steve practices a combination of B.E.S.T., Active Release Technique, Sacro Occipital Technique, Drop Table and Diversfied Adjusting.

Dr. Steve's biography includes stints as a social worker for abused children, a production assistant and actor who toured Europe and the Middle East, and management for the U-Haul company.


Dr. Ann Honigman D.C., M.P.H.

Dr. Ann graduated from Brandeis University in 1976. She also received a Masters of Public Health in Health Education/Health Behavior from  the University of Michigan in 1979.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Life Chiropractic College West in May 1988. She co-founded of Westside Family Chiropractic in 1993. She has been a Berkeley Chiropractor for over 25 years.

She practices a combination of Cranio Sacral Work, Sacro-Occipital Technique, Myofascial Release and other non force adjustive techniques. She also incorportes her more than 30 years of studying Iyengar Yoga into her practice. She uses an integrated approach to whole body healing to bring your body back to balance.

She treats infants and children as well as adults and maintains a large referral network to a variety of other health care practitioners.

Dr. N. Summer Gee, D.C.

Dr. Summer is a Berkeley native.  She attended UC Berkeley and graduated with a bachelors degree in psychology in1983.  She went on to graduate from Life Chiropractic College West in 1991.  Her post graduate studies include Myofascial Release with physical therapist John Barnesand Craniosacral Therapy.  She practiced in Santa Cruz and the Peninsula for 10 years before returning to Berkeley.  In 2001, she joined Westside Family Chiropractic where she also maintains her own practice.  

Dr. Summer utilizes a combination of diversified (manual) adjusting, sacral occipital technique, and other low force and non-force techniques to treat patients.  She has a special interest in treating painful myofascial restrictions that develop through trauma, old injuries, repetitive stress injuries, inflammatory processes, and surgical procedures.  She uses a hands on approach, constantly evaluating and re-focusing, prompting the unwinding and release of the restrictions.
