Frequently Asked Questions
> Is Chiropractic Safe?
Chiropractic is generally recognized as one of the safest treatments for musculoskeletal problems.
The best proof is reflected in the cost of malpractice insurance for chiropractors. Chiropractors pay only a fraction of what medical doctors pay. If chiropractic was dangerous our rates would be much higher.

> What is an Adjustment?
An Adjustment is the term used when a Chiropractor frees up a joint that is stuck/fixated and inflamed. It is a gentle specific release done by hand or instrument. We have many different ways to do this from extremely gentle to the typical chiropractic thrust.
We also work to relieve spasm, irritation and pressure on the surrounding soft tissues: muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia.
> Does Chiropractic hurt?
In most cases chiropractic does not hurt. Occasionally you may feel a minor amount of discomfort immediately which lasts for seconds. We are also excellent at finding the most gentle ways to complete the adjustment.
> Once you see a chiropractor, do you have to go for the rest of your life?
In our office the amount of chiropractic you receive is entirely up to you. We will provide you with information and explanations regarding your condition. We will give you exercise, nutritional and ergonomic advice. We are dedicated to get you feeling better as quickly as possible.
Some people choose to continue care after their acute phase for either wellness and/or preventative care. We leave that choice up to you and will completely support your decision. We will always be ready to help you.
